Frequently Asked Questions

    • Discontinue use of any lash or growth serum 8 weeks prior to the scheduled appointment.

    • Remove any lash extensions before your appointment and do not re-apply until 2 weeks after your touch up.

    • Stop the use of blood thinning medication at least 1 day prior (this includes, but is not limited to Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Naproxen, Vit E, Turmeric and Fish Oil).

    • Limit sun exposure and tanning services in the days leading up to your appointment.

    • If your skin is sunburnt, you can not get tattooed.

    • It is important to avoid intense exercise, caffeine and alcohol minimum 24 hours prior to your Lash Enhancement appointment.

    • Contact lenses will need to be removed prior to the service.

    • It is also recommended to bring a hat to your appointment to protect from direct sunlight.

  • No. All lash extensions must be removed prior to the eyeliner treatment taking place.

    • If you have an active eye infection such as a stye, blepharitis, conjunctivitis or other, you cannot get tattooed until the area has been treated and cleared by your doctor.

    • Similarly, if you have glaucoma or ocular hypertension, you will need a note from your doctor.

    Please arrive with no lash extensions or the Lash Enhance treatment cannot be performed and will have to be re-scheduled.

    Additionally, you can not get a lash enhance tattoo if:

    • You are under the age of 18

    • You are pregnant/breastfeeding

    • You have been using Accutane (or other acne medication that is not topical) within the last year

    • You have allergies to Lidocaine/Benzocaine

    • You are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy

    • You have an autoimmune disorder, are immunocompromised or have difficulty healing

    • You have diabetes

    • You are on blood thinners

    • You have an Iron deficiency

    • You have any heart condition

    Note that certain medications and skin conditions may interfere with the treatment, as well.

  • You can expect the Eyeliner tattoo service to take 2 to 3 hours.

  • Hardly! A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the skin before the procedure begins and a secondary anesthetic gel is applied to keep the are numb through the treatment.

    As always, mild discomfort may occur but measures are always taken to ensure the process is as comfortable as possible.

  • While most clients are satisfied after their initial appointment, healing can occasionally result in subtle variations in pigment retention. A touch-up session may be scheduled within 6 to 8 weeks for 200$, if desired

  • Although the area may appear fully healed after 7 days, the EyelinerTattoo can take up to 8 weeks to fully heal.

  • If you are wondering whether your previously tattooed eyeliner can be corrected you must first submit a clear, well-lit, make-up free photo of your eyes to hello@studiotamsenrae.com

  • Yes. However, if you have any concerns regarding allergies, a patch test can be made possible.

    Patch tests consist of implanting a fine line of pigment into the hairline, minimum 6-8 days before the appointment.

  • Yes!

  • Touch-ups are typically not necessary but annual touch-ups are encouraged to maintain the effect.

    The lash line retains pigment longer than the brow area and you may find it unnecessary to book an annual touch-up appointment.

    If you do find your Eyeliner tattoo has lost its definition then do not hesitate to book another appointment.
